B5 Keymod handguards
Have any of you guys seen or used these keymod handguards? This looks like a pretty good handguard for those who like the slim handguards of the Sport, but would like a heat shield and the ability to add accessories.

I hadn't seen these before, but apparently they have free float tubes with this system as well. I just watched the other video explaining the keymod system, and the advantage of this over tubes like your Troy (which I really like) is that you don't have to hold the nut in place on the inside.
I still have a free float tube that I bought from Bill that I haven't installed. I bought it because it was a slim, round tube. Now I am wondering if I really need free float... for $30, maybe I should just go with these.

I've handled the free float key-mod handguards. They feel almost as narrow as a stock 15-Sport handguard. They are super sweet, but dang expensive. I also don't see as many Key-Mod accessories yet.
The Troy Alpha rail is nice. It mounts to the stock barrel nut by snugging up three set screws. The rubber linked o-ring like squid grip inserts are comfy. Affixing rail sections or any other accessory to it is a royal pain the the butt. Don't plan on installing any accessories any farther than your finger can reach down the tube.
If you do get these drop in ones, let me know how it goes. I like to run a stubby VFG on my handguard, and I don't see how that is possible with the B5 drop in handguard.

Hey buddy, where have you been? I thought it had been awhile when I answered you on the "other" forum.
Sorry, didn't look into the shipping when I suggested the same place JaPes suggested. I'm still on the fence, probably will be until the next big thing comes along.
