Default .22 conversion kit for M&P15

Good day all,

Does anyone have experience with using a .22lr conversion kit for the M&P15? With .22 availability starting to ease up, thought I might try one out.
Thanks

You should not have any issues with a CMMG conversion kit. I have the CMMG dedicated upper (full rifle actually), and I added a redi-mag kit that allows me to use M&P 15-22 magazines. The kit adds full function back to the rifle, such as last shot bolt hold open.

I had a Ciener conversion kit in a Colt based AR about 2 years ago. I've since sold that AR and bought a M&P Sport. The conversion kit functioned 100%. Accuracy was good. The point of impact is different between the .223 and the 22LR. One is about 2 inches higher at 50 yards. I don't recall which one. Laterally both were the same so I think the POI difference is due to velocity.
