New M&P Sport
Well I just ordered my m&p ar15 sport today. I put it on layaway at kentucky gun co, total $650 with shipping insurance and transfer fee. I have been debating which one to get for a few months and finally decided on the sport after reading all the comment here I think I will be happy with my choice.

I think you'll be happy with it too. When it comes in, we require pics or it didn't happen!
Resist the urge to change it around before you shoot it. Let's face it, you're gonna change something. Just shoot it a little so you'll have a better idea what you really want.

I bought my Sport from Kentucky Gun Co about one year ago. I found they were very good and reputable to deal with.
As with any online firearms purchase, take your time and inspect the gun thoroughly before accepting the gun. If there is a problem KGC will exchange if you haven't "accepted" the gun. I missed a factory blemish on my Sport and had to send it the S&W for warranty work. My own fault for not noticing the blemish

Congrats on your choice! As Rastoff said it is fine right out of the box. It doesn't need "bling". Don't you just love waiting for Santa to show up?

Welcome to the board and club. You made a good choice, and if history has shown us one thing, the Sport won't be your last AR.

Congrats and welcome to the MP15 club. I'm real happy with mine and I still haven't done anything to it because to me it's not a Barbie.

Great choice, when you get it-shoot it all stock. Shoot it a lot! I have had one for a year and not added 1 thing to it other than buying a soft case to transport it. It is an amazing rifle for the money!

My Sport was pretty accurate right out of the box. Definitely very satisfied. You could tell it was high quality. The upper and lower fit had virtually zero play and are made out of high quality materials, 7075 aluminum I believe. Add a quality melonite coated barrel, and I still can't believe I got the gun for it's price.
I agree with other posters, shoot before modding, but if you do mod, I would suggest a better trigger

It's more treated rather than coated.

yes and no... you guys are right and prudent responsible behavior would dictate to wait until after you shoot it.....but sit there in your pajamas when you unwrap your new sport-15 and hold it in your hands, sight in on the wall outlet across the living room...what do you feel? yeah, the cheek weld isn't bad and the little wobble in the stock is not bad at all. The pistols grip was a little small for my small hands. Those were my first impressions of what it felt like just warming up to it...I didnt think it was necessarily bling, but just what made it feel more comfortable to have and to hold , through sickness and in riots, etc.... hahahahahaha
You are still going to love this rifle right out of the box and as light as it is, they will always gain a pound of improvements as time goes by......cheers ENJOY!!!!!!1

I picked up my sport last Friday from my ffl, and i am pleased with my purchase. The good thing is Kentucky gun co lowered the price so my final out the door was $617 including ffl fee.
I ordered 1000 rds of wolf gold .223 55gr from ammo supply warehouse yesterday $311 plus shipping $345 total, now to decide which red dot sight i want and to get a few more mags then get to the range.

Rusty 1953 , isn't it funny how fast the week goes buy when you are waiting on something good. I find I order stuff just to have something to look forward to getting. It brakes up my boreing work week and I get a new toy to play with on the weekend.
