Default Ordered a Troy Battlerail Delta

Ordered a Troy Battlerail Delta today. Ran into a guy on my last range trip with one and I loved it. I really like the tubular design and adding rails only if I need to. I saw a DD extended carbine rail for $105 in the last email from Midway but I like the idea of not having to do a bunch of smith work to put it on.

Anyone here use the Delta before?

Not the Delta, but I do have a Troy rail on my backup AR. Troy makes nice hardware. Sounds like you're enjoying yours.

I'm putting the 15" Alpha series rail on my new AR build project.

Like Arizona98tj said, they make nice stuff.

Should be here tomorrow. Just in time for a range session on Fri. It will be nice to extend my arm out further. I feel so cramped on the carbine length guard.

I missed out on that rail also. I have a 13" alpha rail on my spikes rifle and I love it. Probably going to get one for my sport as well.

Well here she is

Man I LOVE this rail!!! It's lighter than the MOE I think. I can get my hand out farther and that's the big thing for me.

Install was easy but I had to fire up the grinder and round one edge to get it to clear the front hand guard cup. After that it was all easy. Now to get my surefire mount from Impact and a rail mounted pressure switch and I'll be good to go.

Hey there ASTMedic. I just installed the same Troy Delta battlerail on my M&P sport. I'm a beginner in the AR-15 world. What kind of grip is that mounted on your rail? And what advantage does that have over a vertical grip?
