I have a CMMG 22lr kit for my Sport. I'll start off by saying the kit works like a champ! I really like it, but here's the problem:

My AR 5.56 is set up with a 4.5-18X40 scope. I have it zeroed at 100 yards. I shoot 1.5" groups. I REALLY like the set up.

Obviously, the zero will be off with a .22lr. If anyone has experience with this, how do you shoot your 22lr with the scope you have on it? I don't want to take my scope off, because I don't want to re-zero every time I shoot the 22lr. Any suggestions?

Make a range card and record the windage and elevation zero for both calibers.

AR-Getsome has the best answer. You may also find that at 25 or 50 yards that you are "close enough" with the .22.

I would shoot it at 50 yards and see how close POA and POI were without changing anything.
