I finally talked my brother in buying a Sport. I went up to his farm, showed him how to clean it and take it apart and gave him a bore snake and a bottle of CLP. We still haven't had the chance to go shooting.
A flyer came last week from a LGS that had the Sport for $528. When he background check was complete, so he bought a second Sport and when he picked it up, they also had a pallet of the Blackout Sport. I didn't even know they were selling a Blackout Sport.
Are you sure those in .300 blackout were Sports? I'm not finding anything online about a Sport chambered in .300 blackout... another M&P 15, yes, but not a Sport.
We had been texting back and forth from the store. He is new to the platform, so we figure he saw the S&W 300 Blackout and being new took for granted he was seeing a sport. Over 150 Sports sold yesterday and twice as many 15/22, so he was most likely confused.
He is headed back to the store because the flyer I gave him showed 2 day sale prices, and today was still the sale, but they charged him double on some 22Lr. ammunition and $5 more on the 2 Pmags I asked him to get for me.

That's a great price for PMags. Here in NJ we are limited to 15 round magazines. Our choices are buy factory 10 round or buy a 20/30 round that has been modified to 15. Typically, we can buy a modified 20 round PMag for $20. I was upset that they sold a modified 30 round for $29, and it was a Gen 2. I can't get mad at my brother as he is new to this and he was the one that took the ride. For me, it would be around 50 miles one way, for him about 25.
