AR magazines are a commodity made by a variety of companies, most good, a few not so good - you cant go wrong with pmags - they come in 10, 20, 30, & 40 round mags and you should be able to find them just about anywhere for 12-15 dollars retail. somebody might know a sale for 10 to 12 each. they make a gen 2 30 rounder & now have gen 3 mags in all the capacities but the gen 3 are usually a dollar or 3 more - i usually just get the gen 2 - especially if i notice them on sale -1 dont know if S&W even makes mags for those, i wouldnt be surprised if they shipped pmags
edit - avoid promags - you will probably hear lots of horror stories about those

Since no one has said so and you're really new at this, Magpul makes pmags.

To further spell it out: S&W does not make any magazines for the M&P15.
CDNN has a great sale on now for MSAR mags in different colors at only $8/ea, if I didn't already have like 15 mags I'd be tempted to pick some of those up.
Otherwise places like Botach will have volume discounts for PMAGs, gen 2's under $10/ea.

I have Hexmag and Pmags. While I find the hexmags to be good mags and I like the color identifiers, I almost always find pmags cheaper than hexmags. $8.99 vs $11.99

I wish I could get PMags at the price you guys get them. We are restricted to 15 rounds in NJ so our options are buy a 10 round, or get a 20/30 with a block in them. The block adds to the cost buy $8-$10 in most companies.

I believe Hexmags sells their compliant mags at about the same price as their regular 30 round mags.

I recently bought 3 of the 30 round compliant Hexmags, they didn't have the 20 round which I would rather have purchased. They seem well made, and for a flat shipping rate of $3.95 it's a very good deal.

Check Brownells, they have their 20 and 30 rnd mags with the silicon steel springs for around $19.00 each. Oh, they are aluminum body mags of course.

Those do not have good reviews. Curious as to why you would come on to this board, ask your question, and then ignore everything posted to help you out...

Widener's reloading has D&H 30 round aluminum mags w/Magpul followers for $7.00.
I bought them last year when they were $6.50. I have a bunch of these on hand for the inevitable election year firearms & ammo panic. A magazine valued at $7 today turns into a magazine valued at $80 to $100 during an election year. Don't be a panicked lemming. Buy them now while they're relatively cheap.
Now some will call me all sorts of names for selling a $7 mag for $100. Go right on ahead. I don't advertise. I don't solicit. Last panic cycle, I was on the range with my Sport. Someone offered me $90 for one of the P-mags I had with me. The week after, someone offered me stupid money for a D&H mag. I warn them that they're being stupid, but they still handed over their money with a smile.

Supply and demand, more demand, less supply sooner a fool will depart with his money.

I have GI aluminum mags, Mako Steel mags, and Pmags. If I had to rely on one for my survival it would be Pmags 100% of the time. I also use Pmags only in my DPMS LR308. Pmags are that good!!!!
