Installing new butt stock
Just got a new Sport II and was looking to install a new butt stock. Not too familiar with it yet but working on it. If I order a new butt stock do I need to get anything else or does it fit right where the factory one does? May be a dumb question, but go easy on me I'm still new. Thanks in advance.

Since you're not too familiar with it, why don't you give the one it came with some range time . . . . You'll need a certain tool to disassemble it, and you should watch a little YouTube to make the switch, but you might find the original grows on you. What don't you like about it?

Installing new butt stock
It's been awhile since I changed the stock on my sport but there is a difference between a milspec and commercial buffer tube that it goes on. If I'm not mistaken, the sport uses a milspec tube. You don't need any special tools to remove the stock. You'll just depress some tabs and it slides off. YouTube how to remove the stock. It's easy. Depending on which stock you replace it with, it'll be the same process.
I don't like the oem stock and it was the first thing I changed out so I don't blame you. I went with a magpul ctr. Lots of options out there so do your research so you don't end up with a bin full of parts. Popular makers are magpul, vltor, bcm, mft (mission first tactical) and tons of others. Google AR15 stock and spend some time looking around. Once you find one/some, YouTube videos on it.

I recently put a Magpul MOE on my sport II. Simple, you just lift up on the adjustment lever rather than depressing it. The stock one is fine but it wiggles and rattles a bit. Toe MOE is rock solid. It is a mil spec vs commercial that you need. I also put in a Damage Industries silicone spring and it eliminated the spring "twang" when you break a shot. Best 7$ I've spent on it and it's a simple swap.

Thanks all. I don't know why I didn't even think to look at YouTube. Been out a handful of times shooting the Sport and while there's nothing terribly wrong with the factory stock, it just seems like an aftermarket might be more solid. Thanks for the suggestions too.

A very simple switch with no special tools required, as mentioned figure out if the new sport has a commercial or mil-spec buffer tube before ordering a new stock.

The Sport II has a Mil Spec buffer extension tube. If you're not replacing the tube, the stock can be replaced without any tools.

Correct, to those who said "no tools needed," and "Mil-Spec" buffer tube. You can order stocks (Magpul, at least) in EITHER commercial OR Mil-Spec size. The Sport takes the Mil-Spec size. I just changed the factory butt stock on my Sport to a Magpul MOE. It's literally a 30-second job...

Not much else to add at this point, as said above just make sure you get a stock for milspec buffer tube diameter.
My 2¢ I have the MOE and CTR and I think it's it's worth stumping up the extra few bucks for the CTR, it's basically the same stock but it's nice to have the tab up front on the CTR to lock it up nice and tight.
