For plinking, whichever is cheaper. I like to shoot Wolf Gold 223 at the moment, you can pick up 1000 rounds for ~$300 (inc. shipping if you can find a coupon). Shoots really well and it's brass case non-bimetal jackets, so your indoor range won't moan and you can reload the cases if you're into that.
I get mine at Sporstman's Guide as they usually have a free shipping coupon and you can do their 4-pay thing to spread the cost out over 4 months with 0% interest, works for me.
