Default Sport II Mag Issue

My Sport II came with a Gen 2 Pmag. I've since picked up three gen 3's. I have noticed that the gen 2 holds the top few rounds more loosely than the 3's. The second round will occasionally tilt up at the nose, level with the first round. I obviously can't tell if this happens once inserted, and it hasn't resulted in a failure to feed or anything. Though it sometimes seems to take a little more pressure to seat a full mag against a closed bolt. Does this sound like a defective mag or is this a gen 2 characteristic.

If it's not causing stoppages, it's not a problem. Some mags just feel looser than others. My Mec-Gar CZ75B mags, for example, feel VERY loose compared to most other pistol mags, but they feed perfectly. Worry about something else.

I have gen 2 pmags and D&H aluminum mags. They work equally well, but the pmags are easier on the fingers when loading. Those aluminum feedlips can really rough up the fingers after loading a few of them.

Gen 2 mags are good to go, still being made after the release of the gen 3 mags. Most seem to still prefer the Gen 2(only Gen 3 mags I have are 10 rounders), typically can be had cheaper, although I suspect they are cheaper now since prior to Gen 3, the Gen 2 came with a dust cover.
