Default SIG Romeo 4

Has anyone had any experience or seen these red dots? The price and the features look attractive.

The first I have heard of it. Based on it's description at Midway USA it sounds interesting, long battery life and quick detach mount included at a sub $400 price point.

Upon closer inspection it looks like it may be a rebranded version of: Holosun Paralow Circle Dot Sight w/ Mount 15% OFF HS515C | Free 2 Day Shipping.

The SIG ROMEO 7 looks even more interesting! It's nice that it uses a standard 'AA' battery. Best price I found was $299.

In the past all Sig Optics were rebranded scopes. It is not clear if this is the case with the Romeo. I would wait to see more reviews and more hands on time before being an early adopter of any Sig product.

Did a little poking around and cannot confirm if they are in fact rebranded Holosun but lots of people believe they are. A Sig rep has confirmed that they are not made by Sig in the US. They are made in China for Sig. I believe that the guts are Holosun and the bodies are designed by Sig.

This does not make it bad but if I was looking for a proven optic for serious use I would still look to Aimpoint. If I need a sight with decent features for the range these would fit the bill.

I was aware it was re-branded, but it is the configuration that I really like. Yes, I agree, it's approaching the price of an AimPoint Pro, and that would be a better choice.

Yeah you are about $100 from a NIB Aimpoint Pro or even less if you are able to find one LNIB for around $350.

At that price difference I would stick with Aimpoint. However for a range rifle I might consider one of the Romeo 4s at $300 to $400 vs the Aimpoint H1, H2, T1 or T2 which will run you $600+ with a similar mount.
