Today I went put and bought some new magpul furniture, grip, handgaurd and stock and It feels like the front of the rifle has gotten heavier so Imuch just wondering if anyone has weighed their, stock, grip, handgaurd that originally came on the rifle

Since you just did the swap, why don't you weigh them or hold them side by side and you will feel which is heavier.

I didn't have a scale but I just went to Walmart and bought a cheap scale and Im going to weigh them, but with the magpul stuff it definitely feels heavier than before

The magpul hand guard has a heat shield in it and both the guard and stock are definitely thicker, more durable, polymer than the oem (cheap) ones. I also have magpul furniture on my sport and it still comes well under 7lbs. The increased ergos and durability are worth the few extra ounces imo.

I agree that the extra weight is worth how much better it feels now, I was just surprised how much heavier the gun felt by adding a few ounces anyway if anyone cares I weighed the stock stuff and the magpul

The stock pistol grip is 2.9oz and the magpul is 3.4oz

The stock handgaurd is 3.75oz and the magpul is 6.3oz and that's where I felt the majority of the weight

The original buttstock is 7oz and the magpul is 8.35oz

Overall the magpul stuff is definitely worth the few extra Oz the gun just feels so much better than before and now I can mount stuff on the handgaurd

Personally I don't see anything wrong with the stock pistol grip, butt stock or handguard. But I did put a different handguard to on mine. It's identical to the factory handguard but has a heat shield in it.

The only thing that I really didn't feel the need to change was the buttstock but I went ahead and got it to match the grip and handgaurd, but I hated the hard plastic pistol grip the new rubber magpul just feels so much better and is easier to hold onto and the handgaurd was to mount a light and laser on
