Old Gen 1 Sport
My old generation Sport has taken on a new look in all the years I have had it. It has came along way, money wise. Love this AR since the day I put it my hands and brought it to the range.

I'm not sure that is a Sport anymore... is there anything besides the lower and the BCG that is still original?

Looks like it has the original barrel, and the Magpul rear BUIS, and the original safety and mag release button, probably has the original take down pins and grip screw too.
Nice rifle OP.

The barrel and the lower is all that is left of the original Sport.

The rear BUIS is a A.R.M.S. #40 L-SP

We need an "I tired, but couldn't leave my Sport stock" thread.
Mine:
Spend more on goodies than on the rifle.

Did you install the flip up fsb? If so, how hard was it and do you like it?

Yes I did install the (YHM-9396) flip up FSB at the same time I installed my free float, carbine length hand guard. I like it for the simple reason when using my scope I can drop the FSB down and keep it from co-witnessing with the scope. Those two installs I did were pretty cut and dry for me, no big deal.

It sure is more of a Sport than mine. I started out just like you, then it just hit, redid the whole rifle. Used my old Sport parts to build one for my brothers birthday.
I believe if I had to do all over again, I do the same thing again.
