Already sighted in....?
I pick up my MP 15 sport 2, On the 22nd.
I think I read somewhere that this rifle comes sighted in pretty good....

I wouldn't count on that being the case. At least that wasn't my experience with the TS. In any case, it's not a big deal and adjusting it will only increase your familiarity with the rifle.

Got my sport II and the iron sights shot about 2" low at 25 yards. Was no trouble to lower the front post and bring my poa up.

With all due respect, I think you mean that you raised the point of impact (assuming that you were still aiming at the same point on your target after the adjustment was made).
BTW, if you were shooting about 2" low at 25 yards you'd be roughly zeroed for 100 yards, for what it's worth.

Think about your statement . Lowering the front sight =elevating the barrel
