My flashlight mount and remote switch pad came in today and I got it mounted on my rifle. However, as you can see in the second picture, there is no top screw in the flashlight mount. This is because the flashlight that I have is a little too big for it, thus causing it to not fit all of the way around it. It feels pretty sturdy, but only some rounds will tell, and I fear it will not be sturdy enough.
I have a few options:
1.) Get a longer screw and tighten it down as much as I can.
2.) File/sand down the inside of the flashlight mount.
3.) Buy another flashlight (my last option as I do not want to spend more money on a light when I already have one).
The second glitch is that I had/have to take off the front sling swivel in order to get the battery out to charge it. I would just leave it off but I have a new sling arriving today, so I will need somewhere to attach it. If anybody has a good idea of another place to attach it, any suggestions would be appreciated. It is a two point sling that can be converted into a one point sling, if that matters.
It really would not be that big of a deal to have to remove the swivel to charge the battery as I have not charged the battery in at least two, if not three, months and it is still going strong. The only issue I have with this route is that I do not want to mess up the pin by taking it in and out more than it probably should be.
Lastly, I just do not know what to do with the chord for the remote switch. It is a long chord, so I will have to find somewhere for it to go.
