Default Hi, rear mount sling options wanted

Hi Looking for info on the best type of rear mount sling options, i have a couple of single point sling that attach to the rear of the butt stock, but it lets the gun hang down way to low.
I am after the type of sling mount that fits on the butt stock extension tube just behind the receiver, since we don't have the nut to lock it into place i am after the type that bolt down around the tube. I hope i have explained it properly and this all makes sense! Cheers

Sorry guys I have posted this in the wrong section I want the rear sling mount for my 15-22!

There are too many options (manufacturers) to list. Use you google foo and search "qd buffer tube mount" and you'll get a ton of results. Invest in another sling that gives you both one and two point options. Best known are Magpul ms4 or ms3. If you ever have to carry your rifle for an extended amount of time you'll be glad to have the option.

You could also switch out your castle nut yourself if you have the wrench. It's fairly easy and YouTube has a ton of walkthroughs. If you take it to a competent gun smith it is a 10-15 minute process. If you do this go ahead and stake the new nut.

You are not limited to one that clamps on to the buffer tube. Your rifle has a castle nut that can be removed and re-installed... google "receiver end plate", then click images... many to choose from.

Just occurred to me... you probably have a M&P 15-22 and have posted in the wrong forum. If that is the case, you don't have a castle nut and can ignore my post above!
