Will the Vortex Spitfire 3x work on the M&P 15 Sport II?

I don't see why not. If you can mount it on a picatinny rail, it should work. I believe it was specifically designed for AR 15s.

Yes, it is designed for an AR. Though at 3x you'll probably still see your front sight ghosting.

I have a Nikon P-223 Rifle Scope fixed 3x 32mm, mounted not on my M&P 15 Sport II, but on my flat top Bushmaster XM15 E2S, which also has an A2 front sight on it, and I see no ghosting.

I have the Spitfire 1x mounted on mine using the 1/3 co-witness seeing no issues with it.

At 3x the front sight offers zero obstruction on my Sport.
