Default New hobby looking for help. Sport 2 fbs change

I'm new and looking for some advice on changing the front sight to a low profile gas block.

I understand that s&w pins are reversed from other manufacturers being they are removed driving them right to left.

My confusion is how to determine which is right and left.

One post said it was as if your were aiming the rifle. Then I saw another video that said it was oriented as if the gun was pointing at you.

My question is, how do you determine right from left side when removing the pins in the front sight.

Measure the ends of the pins, you'll see one side is noticabley larger than the other, hammer out from the small side.

Looking down the barrel towards the muzzle end (like aiming as you said), they go right to left.

Take a look at my recent thread. You can tell by the naked eye which side of the pin is larger.

I removed my front A2 sight, here's pics.

Thanks.

Got my free floated hand guard mounted today.

Now I just need to get out and sight it in.

I would post a pic but I am unsure how to do so.

It is a Samson evolution 12.37".

Nice, did you have to swap the barrel nut or did it use the OE one.

The add on Brownells says that the "thermal bushing locks onto the stock barrel nut".
