Default Sport II Recoil Pad

Thinking about a recoil pad for my Sport II, not to reduce recoil but to make the stock a little longer. Anyone have experience with this.

I have a US A123168 (ProMag AR-15/M16 4-Position Carbine Stock Recoil Pad). Only adds 1/2" length but works well for me.
Available on Amazon for about $11.

I recently picked up the Tapco Intrafuse T6 rubber butt-pad, from an ebay vendor for around $12,delivered. I've been telling all my freinds about what an excellent product this thing is, and how these things should come stock on all these little plastic retractable stocks.
The go on without a lot of difficulty, but stay in place very well.
I think it only provides another 1/2" or so of LOP, but with these little stocks, every bit helps.
What i most like about it is that it increases the overall surface area of that hard-edged plastic buttplate, and smooths all the edges out, particularly that bottom corner of the stock that tends to dig into your shoulder.
Again, IMO these are an excellent product that really improve the comfort and ergos, and you just can't go wrong at $12,delivered.

We all should remember that the basic 6 position collapsible stock was designed for military use, where the thickness of a ballistic vest, kevlar and or plate carrier will take up that inch or so. Also, those hard edges usually don't dig into someone geared up.

Well yeah, sure, but how is that relevant here? The fact is the stock is uncomfortable, and easily fixable. The reason it's uncomfortable is irrelevant.
In another example, the AK47 stocks were designed to be used by dimunitve peasants wearing winter parkas, therefore the short LOP and ergos suck for the rest of us. That's why so many people upgrade the stocks to something more functional.

My stature is 5 foot, 4 inches. I use the second position on the Sport II's adjustable stock and it works for me. I can't identify with anyone for whom the longest position on the Sport II is still too short.

But, if the stock is too short, logic says to add an extension.

And then take time to thank the Great God of Heaven that you have the "problem" of being too tall for the 6th position on the stock (as well as the "burden" of all the other societal privileges that come with being tall).
