Looks like I'll need to also get a new buffer tube to go along with a new buttstock since the FT comes with a fixed position stock. Is that correct? If so, what other parts will I need for my stock upgrade (Magpul ACS-L)?

Thank you for the video. Unfortunately, the FT has a completely different stock and buffer tube. I was hoping to not have to replace the tube, but I will if it's necessary. I was unable to find an M&P15FT-specific Youtube how-to video...

*edit. Yes it appears you have to replace the buffer tube if you want an adjustable stock. You shouldn't need anything other than a new milspec buffer tube. You may have to drill out the pin that holds the current stock in place. If you can't do it yourself, it should take a qualified gun smith maybe 20 minutes to replace the tube.

Don't know where you live, but make sure what you plan on doing is legal under state law. Research says the FT was sold with the fixed stock to comply with NY state law.
