Default New and need some info

I've been talking to a guy about buying his MP15 Sport 1 but I'm not sure if it's a 1 or 2. If someone culd look at his ad on Armslist for Arkansas titled NIB M&P 15 could you tell me which one it is? I'd appreciate their assessment of it. Thanks

Can't really tell from the pic what version it is but I am going to bet it is a Sport II because it has a Magpul BUIS included and he says it has a 1/9 twist.

Nope, Sport I... no forward assist or ejection port cover. Sport 1 came with Magpul sight and 1:9 twist for a couple of years before the Sport 2 was introduced.

If this is it, says Sport 1 in the info... a link to what you want us to look at would really be more helpful!

Your right I missed the no forward assist. At that price I would pass. You can buy a Sport II NIB for $499.

I agree with VWSig on buying a S&W M&P Sport II because they are down to $500 and it has full features including the dust cover and forward assist.

I answered this earlier today in the other thread you asked it in and you never responded.

A Brand New Sport 2 is $489.99 with free shipping online.

I agree as well, unless it is a face to face transaction with absolutely no paperwork...That might be worth a small premium to me.

Thanks everyone. Actually it's more of a trade for my TCA 308 with a Bushnell Banner scope, rifle case and 4.5 boxes of Hornady 168gr BTHP ammo. Considering the price now of the Sport IIs I might see if you'll through in a scope.
