Sorry for what is likely a dumb question, but i'd rather ask and know then not be sure.. LOL

Anyway, I picked up a typical drop in quad rail at a show a few days ago, got it on NP, But not entirely sure how tight, I should tighten the screws?..

Considering the two halves will never meet flat/flush, I am concerned with over tightening causing them to strip OR, under tightening cause it to easily loosen up.
clamping pressure is obviously inside the lip of the spring loaded ring on the rear and the clamping pressure is on the outside of the metal ring near the front site.. and I'd rather not possibly crush in any of the front ring by over tightening, Nor cause any issues with the Spring loaded ring area

Also, should I consider a drop of blue loc-tite on the screws?..

snug, and use blue Loctite. Make sure both the screws and holes are THOUROUGHLY degreased with brakecleen.

Remember, those are tiny threads in aluminum. Easy to strip out.
