Incredible deal on Geissele SSA trigger $219 w/ magpul mags
Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA) Trigger & Ten (10) Magpul PMAG 30, 5.56x45 Magazines
A SSA trigger plus 10 Magpul mags is a steal. The mags are worth $90 which means you are getting the trigger for $150 which is less than the price of a G2S.

What are you talking about? The SSA is a 4.5 lb trigger. The link above is to the SSA which has the same pull weight as the G2S but the G2S is cheaper because it has a different way of holding the hammer pin, no laser markings, and it is only spot checked for MP.
If you want a SSA-E you can get the same deal for $20 more. Your use of the word "match" is no real bearing in the discussion because the SSA is not designed to be a match trigger. They are highly tuned combat triggers.
Geissele Super Semi-Automatic Enhanced (SSA-E) Trigger & Ten (10) Magpul PMAG 30, 5.56X45 Magazines
The SSA-E is a lbs lighter and puts it more into the precision category. Depending on use this might be the way to go. I personally like the 4.5 lb 2 stage triggers because my guns are not for punching tiny little groups at 100-300 yards. They are for hitting man sized targets at spitting breathe to 300 yards. the 2 lbs first stage allows me to take up the slack and stage the trigger. It leaves 2 lbs to finish the shot which IMHO in a defensive situation will help CYA. IMHO
Super Semi-Automatic Enhanced (SSA-E) Trigger
You however should probably skip both because if you install it into your Sport II you will never shoot it because such trigger turns hard working functional fighting guns into babied safe queens. LOL

I confess. I've put together three ARs with Geissele triggers. One SSA-E and two GS2. One was built for my wife (GS2). These are intended for those little groups, and not as defensive guns. One thing for certain, is that they'll never be safe queens.
Our first AR, was a stock Windham. The second, which I put toegether, was kind of a "spare no expense" weapon with the SSA-E. I asked my wife about trigger preference, and she liked the Geissele. I picked up two G2S's on a prior sale with good pricing. AR build #4 (which will be our 5th AR) is coming up this summer. It will, have a Geissele. Just not sure of which one. We do spend a lot of warm weather shooting in the desert, with many targets set at various ranges.

Why do you think the SSA advertised is actually the G2S?
There's certainly a difference between the SSA and SSA-E. I wouldn't install a SSA-E on my rifle if it was free. Not because it isn't a superb trigger, it certainly is, but it doesn't best serve the purpose of my rifle nor my preference. The SSA would be a better fit for my use though I prefer single stage and use a WC TTU.
Out of all the endless AR configurations to choose from, did you select the Sport for precision "match" shooting?

A little off topic, but I just noticed my MOE Plastic Carbon Length Hand guard, the end that attaches to the rear delta ring, there are definite signs of it melting and getting distorted! I am a bit disappointed.
Also, the UTG Slim 15" 2 piece drop in rail, the section that clamps onto the end cap(right next to A2 post), the screw holes did not line up perfectly, thus I had to squeeze the two pieces very hard to get the screw to feed through. I am now left to wonder if this has changed my POA. Today I removed both screws to see if the rail was still under tension, but apparently it looks like the hole got bigger. Anyway, just wondering if the tension will affect accuracy. I am now thinking I was better off leaving teh stock handguards which seemed to not pull the barrel to any side

WvSig, I strive to have an AR that shoots like a bullseye gun...lol...I realize AR's are not designed to be such but still would like to have the best chance of accuracy. I should have gone with a free float version if I was that concerned.

Then why did you buy a S&W Sport II? Read my sig line. Learn it Live it! You don't even shoot the high end guns you have. Then you buy a $500 AR15 and think it is going to win you high power matches? You really need to slow your roll and think about how to best achieve your end goal before you buy another piece of equipment.

I bought the Sport II so I could have something to plink with. The only mod I have planned is the rear butt stock to Magpul's, I don't remember the model but it retails like for $80. I also got the Magpul Handguard or I can do the UTG quad rail. I don't expect this to be a bulls eye but my higher end ones do shoot 1moa with factory ammo
