A2 front sight and 1-6x24 Scope
I'm wondering if the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24 will work with my M&P Sport II with an A2 front sight? It comes with a Vortex CM-202 Cantilever Mount.
Thank you.

Yes it will work and at 2x and up the front sight will be ghosted out and not seen.

Not sure at 1x as you may see the front sight. Above that the focal plane moves past the sight and you don't see it.

I had a Nikon 2-7x32mm on an AR and the front sight was not visible even at 2x.

I have a 1-4x on one of my AR platforms (actually a .22 but that doesn't matter) and took some pics.
1X
4X
----------
I've got a 12in handguard so your Sport front sight is a bit closer to the optic. I reckon your front sight will be more blurry at 1x.

I have just started playing with a PST 1x4 with my fixed front sight patrol rifle. At 1x you can vaguely see the front post, but it is not a hindrance, at 4x its not really noticeable.
I am really liking this concept. Nearly as fast as my Comp2 but with the benefit of 4x and a crosshair. Should have tried this years ago

Not good pictures, but gives a marginal idea of the front post. Leatherwood CMR4 1-4X. I think these are at 1X and at 4X magnification. Its taken with a phone camera and not perfectly centered, so again not the best pictures, but the post does not get in the way really at 1X and you can't see it at 4X. Burris PEPR mount. Burris TAC30 and Vortex Strike Eagle both looked the same as well with front post sights.
