Default Charging handle

Question I took apart my AR-15 sport and cleaned it and put it back together. But when I checked it all out I noticed the charging handle would like just come out when you would stand it up but its still connected to the gun like not fall all the way out. Is it suppose to do that?

ummm.... what? Not sure I understand what you are asking. Do you have the bolt back and locked open, or is the bolt forward? Did you push the charging handle all the way forward to the locked position?

Yeah its all right. I guess its just not locking. So if its not locked will it like slide out but still stay in the gun.
