Shot my Sport today
And wow is that thing accurate. I was shooting 150 yards from a standing position and I was hitting an area about a foot in diameter. I was shooting the far edge of a small creek where the bullets will skip and hit the far bank. Every shot was right in the zone. I was hitting about a foot to the left of where my red dot is zeroed but that's just because it needs a bit of fine tuning on the sight. Every shot was almost identical. I knew it was accurate but that really surprised me.

Technically, your rifle as described was precise, not accurate.
But we know what you mean... sounds like a good day to me.

Haven't had a chance to shoot my new one .. its rained 17 days so far this month so conditions haven't been good for shooting !! over 2 inches last 48 hours ..
Hoping one day this next week it will clear off one day so I can get out to the range ..
did you try the iron sights ?? how far off were they ??

I share your sentiment! When I shot mine last week, my targets were paper plates(9" diameter) set up at exactly 100yds. Even with my red dot on low setting, the dot took up the whole plate, yet I still shot 4" groups consistently in the upper left quadrant of the plate. I may not be as "accurate" as I need to be yet, but the rifle is definitely consistent!

I don't own any Smith &Wesson rifles, but from the reviews I've seen, the accuracy is fantastic.

Just shot my new Sport for the first time today and I was very pleased with the accuracy. I think it (I) will get better as I get more accustomed to it.

My S&W Sport II and it shoots my ammo about what I expected which is about 1.5 at 100 yards with my 55 grain FMJ reloads. I'm 73 years old so my expectations are slightly less than when I was 40.
