Default FDE Sport II?!

I didn't know these were even available. I have not seen them on S&W.com.

$550 would seem to be a very good price; saves a fair amount converting a black Sport 2.

Thats pretty neat. The rear sight alone would be like $40 to replace if you had to convert.

I got one of these from CDNN a couple of months ago. Very nicely put together.

If one is satisfied with the standard CaR stock, A2 pistol grip, and what appears to be a standard size CAR forend, then yes, it's a good deal.

But considering how much the prices have dropped on the Sport II the difference in cost goes a long ways towards getting FDE furniture that is more ergonomically friendly and (in the case of the Magpul CTR stock) rattle free.

Dunno why it would be uglier than any other AR15.

What I like about FDE furniture is it helps break up the gun profile for coyote hunting. Plus, unlike a black stock, FDE furniture does not get hot under a blazing sun. While plastic does not get as hot as black metal, it can still reach the uncomfortable point.
