Magnifier with Strikefire II?
I've installed the Strikefire II red dot to my M&P Sport which works great. I'm thinking of partnering it it Vortex's 3T magnifier, but I'm not sure it will fit. I'm new to ARs, but it looks like there may not be enough rail to include both. Anybody use or have used both on their Sport or Sport II? BTW, The Strikefire II that I use includes the cantilever base.
Thanks!

This is from the Vortex website:
Looks like it will fit, including the back up site.
Another benefit of buying Vortex, if you don't like it, they'll refund your money. They have the best customer service in the business.

I have the same combo...they fit fine. Both are set for 1/3 cowitness. If you flip the magnifier over, the rear site can pop up and be used through the StrikeFire II.

Thanks RossDillion,
How do you like using the magnifier with the Strikefire II? Glad you added it?
Thanks!

Not sure...I find that I have to wiggle around to find the best angle to get a 1) round dot 2) in the center of the magnifier. I haven't had the time to fiddle with adjustments to see if I can fix it.
That said, when I do get there it works fine.

Thanks,
would you say you get a better sight picture/clearer dot without the magnifier (within a certain distance)?

Interesting thread. I think I'll follow along as I'm looking for optic options for my MP Sport ll as well.

I think that goes without saying; adding glass will always degrade an image.

I just completed a Front Sight 2-day practical rifle course. Decided that I don't like my Strikefire II/3T combo...I love it! Once I got the optics aligned and focused properly I found I could see targets clearly. For hand held shots the RDS is plenty; for supported stances the 3T works great.

If you still have this setup can you post a photo of it - or, email it to " [email protected]"
Thanks much 👍

I eventually tired of the fiddling and the weight. I replaced it with a single 3x magnified RDS (Spitfire)

That Spitfire is not a RDS. It's a prism scope. I mention this only in the interest of those less informed shooters and future shooters.
