Default triggers on sale

looks like it's a good time to buy, if you're looking to upgrade your trigger. Primary Arms has the Geissele's for 25% off. And my choice, Larue has the MBT2s for $99+shipping. Plus according to the email, Larue has built up a stock pile so there is no waiting on shipping.

the Larue is a 2 stage rated at 2.5/2. It comes with an additional spring that allows it to make the 4.5lb pull weight that some competitions require.

how hard is it to put one in ?? I'm a noob and was wondering my stock Tactical AR 15 I just got has a trigger that feels close to 8 to 10 pounds and will be replaced soon .. something around a #4 would be nice ..

What are the advantages of a 2 stage over a single stage or vise versa ?

Update- larue deal sold out. trigger is still available for 124.95.

@Whitwabit. Doing a trigger is easy on the AR. Many Utube vids showing how. Advantage of the Larue is that the disconnector is pinned in. Only thing easier would be a drop in like a timney. To me, the advantage of the 2stage is that it allows you to "pre-stage" the trigger. Then when you're ready, a slight pressure on the trigger and it fires.

Well that email cost me. I guess my budget JP Spring trigger job lasted me all of a month and a half. And I thought it was good too, but just couldn't pass up the SSA-E at $180. Might not see that again for a bit, and also might get the bug for it later on with no sale to take advantage of.

Us poor saps in Texas get burdened with 8.25% tax so we lose out on getting a real bargain like you folks out of state. Over Christmas I got an ssa-e from the factory for $160. So,for us in Texas the ssa-e is still close to a 200 dollar trigger unfortunately.

I got the SSA-E (large pin) on Black Friday last year too! Stayed up till midnight waiting for the sale to start. Superb trigger, wife loves it. It was for her pre-ban Colt. Have SSA's on both my CMMG's (factory installed). Can't say enough about their triggers.

PSA has the Geissele Super Semi-Automatic Trigger for $179.99, their a little closer to me and I get my shipments a little faster. I was able to get it for $189.94 shipped.

For the PA deal it would have been $194.84 with the added tax for me.

Bought that SSA-E on Saturday and it showed up today. Thats pretty hard to beat. Shipped on the weekend and arrived Monday. I got it installed in the Sport II, dry fired it once and immediately knew I was going to be selling my Black Rain single stage and getting another for my Sig M400. Wow, I mean I was pretty much blown away. 3.5lb trigger but breaks at 3lbs on my gauge.

The sale ended Sunday night, but I scanned around and Brownells had them on backorder status for $185. A coupon got that down to $175 and free shipping, but then I went in cahoots with my brother in law on some stuff he needed and we pulled off a $30 off $300. Both of us now will be waiting on some backordered Geissele stuff, but in the end I'll get that second SSA-E for $168 and change. Time to pull the Black Rain trigger out and throw it up on one of the local facebook swap pages.

The LaRue MBT triggers are excellent for $99 you cant beat them, longest I had too wait was 2 weeks. For a drop in trigger these are amazing and although they are 2-stage if you pull it as a single stage will not even notice.

Question

I bought a Stoner trigger awhile back for my AR-556, but have yet to install it. I was curious, JP ENTERPRISES makes AR trigger springs that will lower the trigger weight. Will these lower the trigger pull weight on the Stoner trigger too much, or is it a good idea to install them?

Where are they $99? Their website says $124. Also, they are not drop ins from what I see, am I missing something?

They had them on sale on the 14th for $99. Normal price depends on how fast you want it. If you have to have it right away, it's 199. The no rush price is normally 124, but sometimes is on sale for $99+shipping. Got mine at thanksgiving for the 99.

It's not a drop in like a timney or wilson. However, easier to install then a standard AR trigger like S&W uses in the Sport II. The disconnector and spring are premounted and pinned in. Depending on where you look, it's been said to be equal to the G2S up to the SSA.
