Great looking Sport II, love the Magpul furniture, I'm running the exact same grip and stock on my Sport I. What's the quad rail? I have a KAC on mine.

Geissele G2S, awesome two stage (assuming you like 2 stages) for a very reasonable price. Wait till they are on sale too, watch Primary Arms they put them on sale all the time.

I have heard excellent reviews on the Hiperfire 24C trigger. It completely eliminates the possibility of light strikes from hard primers. I'm thinking about trying one.
I currently have the ALG-ACT and really like it, especially for the price, but I do worry about the possibility of light strikes. Although I have only had a couple.
Here is a link to the Hiperfire:

Another trigger option. Have one in mine, and really like it.

Before you spend big $$$ on a new trigger, try this: 15 Minute Practical Trigger Job for the AR-15
I have done this and it really makes a tremendous improvement on the typical GI trigger. It's free and only takes about 10 minutes to do. What do you have to lose?

Sweet looking Sport II, do you have a link to your quad rail? I did a search but didn't see one that looked like the one you show, thanks.

Gas tube, do you have a model #? Forgive my ignorance as I am very new to this but I don't see one that has the same look as the one you have. Are there "covers" on the sides that maybe are not shown in the pictures?

And one more! Velocity triggers. I have a 3# on mine. Zero creep and no issues in over 2 years of use.

As cheap as the mod is it comes nowhere close to the feel of a quality aftermarket trigger.
You can try it and if it doesn't work for you or you damage you stock trigger you'll just buy another one.

Interesting way to look at it. I can only assume you haven't done this. There is no way to damage your trigger. Yes, you'll still have some creep. No, it will never be as good as a really nice trigger like a Geissele or Timney, but it's vastly superior to the regular GI trigger.
Even if you did damage your trigger, a replacement is what, $26? It's really a no brainer. Do it, if you don't like it, then buy the expensive one. If you like it, which I did, you're out nothing.

A little bit of contradiction there. While damage is unlikely, it's possible if one get over zealous and starts grinding instead of polishing. You also just wasted $26 and are right back where you started or worse off. Milspec triggers aren't known for their consistent quality.

Yep, just what I said. I have done it and I was not content with the result. I then tried an ALG and didn't care for that either. I now have a Velocity 3# trigger w/zero creep and a "glass rod" break. The Velocity is exactly what I was looking for. For $135 (Google it) it was well worth it! As always, YMMV.

I tried the mod as well and wasn't at all impressed with it, it feels slightly better but in no way comes close to a nice after market trigger.
I run Geissele on all my riffles so that might have spoiled me when trying this mod.
On my Daniel defense I run the SSA-E, on my sport II and BCM I run the SSA. For Easter many sites had triggers on sale so I grabbed another SSE for later on.
The SSA-E on my DD M4V11 Pro really helps with those accurate shots using a scope and bipod.
On my other two I like the feel of the SSA but can't really say I shoot any better than I did with the OEM GI trigger. I would say if your not completely unhappy with the GI trigger that it's not really a mod that needs to be done. At least at first.
If it's your first AR trigger I would save your money and get use to your rifle before messing with the trigger, IMO.

You have a nice clean setup, I want to switch out my angled magpul handstop for the one your using. Mine came on the rifle so I just left it there.
If your looking for a good cheap usable mod check out the magpul BAD lever. I had one on my sport II to try out and now all my rifles have them. To me its a mod I wish came stock on all AR rifles, thankfully it's cheap enough to add.

I certainly like my newly polished stock trigger--As posted last night in another thread. 4.5 pounds and smooth as glass. No more jerky steps going into the bang. I can't wait to get back to the range. Polishing may not be within the capabilities of everyone so the aftermarket accessories do have their place, I guess. I'm certainly not against supporting the vendors that provide for the shooting sport. I just "blew" $500+ on a FLIR monocular that is useless trash in real life situations but that's my problem.

You might look at the Ruger Elite 452 trigger. Nice trigger. I see them online for $100.

I've put about 800 rounds on the ALG ACT with the purple (light) spring without any issues. If I start to get light primer strikes I'll put the ALG tan spring back in. Shooting mostly M193 & M855 and Wolf Gold.

The impatient and tightly wound will scoff at the suggestion, but it may be worth the effort to stay with the stock trigger (and other parts) long enough for a thorough familiarization.
Factory triggers work surprisingly well as is and the guns are generally capable of good to very good accuracy using the factory setup, particularly if you have also taken the time to develop good shooting skills.
