Great, more spare batteries to carry around.

I'm almost to the point of carrying a girly bag already with all the batteries for my hog hunter AR. (Two different sets for the night scope, two sets for the IR illuminator and a spare for the laser.)

That would be way too confusing for me, I'll stick with the one pull one bang, reset, repeat. Can you imagine not being aware/ready/whatever for that second shot on release? I know you have to activate that mode, but still we all forget stuff.

I wasn't turned on until I saw the video. Talk about functionality! That rapid mode looks like auto fire. A few too many bells and whistles for me but that is really NEAT!

First problem I thought was batteries. It says it doesn't use batteries but something has to light the LEDs. I wonder how rugged it is?

If it is electronic, it is only a matter of time before someone figures out how to hack into it and make it full auto. By current ATF definition of "fully automatic", I'm not sure this would be illegal. Maybe someone with more knowledge on this subject can comment?

EXACTLY what I was thinking Except in my case I have 40 years of expecting that a gun WILL NOT fire when I remove my finger from the trigger. Basically I can foresee this trigger being a complete disaster for someone in a Shoot / No Shoot situation.

The latest version because it allows 2 shots per complete trigger cycle. With that capability, it no longer meets the DOJ definition of a semi-auto. Looks like manufacturer did some legal research as well. They state on their website "Not legal to buy in Ca."

PC 16880 (a) As used in this part, “machinegun” means any weapon that shoots, is designed to shoot, or can readily be restored to shoot, automatically more than one shot, without manual reloading, by a single function of the trigger.

A bump fire set up will cycle about as fast, requires no battery and is cheaper. My gun club recently sent out a memo not allowing either on the range for safety reasons. I wouldn't be a buyer anyway.

Would like to see some targets at 100 yards or so with the 2 rounds at a time ,maybe 10 rounds or so fired reasonably fast. Might be interesting results. I think ATF will be looking at this for sure.

Moving not an option, for several reasons. Money in this state backs the Libs, and controls the media. See we see and hear what the Money wants us to. So , they sell all this as crime control, and ways to prevent mass shootings.

Enough with the politics. My understanding is BATFE has no issue with this. Still, can't see any real use unless you just want to hose off rounds as fast as you can.

If it reasonably accurate with the second shot might work well on pigs. I see AR's in a lot of the videos. I use .44 mag but two .223 add up to .446!��

A mechanical binary trigger has been around for some time. It's called the "Franklin Armory BFSIII Binary AR Trigger". No batteries, works with the manual safety and no extra buttons. Not to mention about half the price. There's something about electronics controlling my trigger that scares me.

This gets around the full auto definition because you have to cycle the trigger in some fashion--Either pull or release. This is not a single function of the trigger as stipulated in the rule. It will not continue to fire with a single pull of the trigger as a full auto will.

Unfortunately, DOJ out here doesn't think that way. Franklin will only sell their BFS to LEO's here. MAinly due to the wording of what a semi-auto is. According to DOJ, only 1 round can be fired for each complete trigger cycle. Trigger pull and release is considered to be 1 cycle. The BFS and the Digitrigger both fire 2 rounds on a complete cycle.

Just another expensive toy! I will stick to the old school way. Hell these days everything is getting Hy-Tech, I guess they figure why not a AR.
