Default Muzzle Brake / Flash Hider removal M&P 15 II

Is the Muzzle Device just Threaded on or is it Pinned on the M&P 15 Sport II? I live in the Demokratik Republik of New Jerseystan

the flash hider is threaded on. Thread is 1/2-28, which is standard for AR type rifles. There is a compliant model available for you that has no muzzle device.

Bought online could not find a NJ Compliant 15 sport optics ready model
Will need stock pinned and flash hider removed

I don't mean to jack this thread, but if you remove the muzzle break, do you have to replace the washer, or can you reuse it to put the muzzle break back on?

Its a "crush" washer. Has quite a bit of give to it but holds tight when you stop tightening. Allows you to properly clock certain muzzle breaks for the proper timing.
