Default 390901

Thinking of picking up one of these for my Sport AR. Either one better than the other in terms of overall quality/build?

Thanks!

What are you trying to accomplish? What will either of those uppers give you that your current upper does not? Is it a change in caliber, or configuration?

So you changed your original post... as if it didn't have enough info in it, now you go cryptic with a number. Just what in the heck is a 390901, other than a big number?

Hmmm, it could be a...

a flat panel floor stand! https://www.audipack.com/products/ri...mm_max_55.html

Or maybe pliers for press fit rivets!

Or is it the hex code for a color? http://www.colorhexa.com/390901

Not sure where the number came from...my title was Stag vs. Troy Complete Upper. Different twist rate, free float handguard would be the difference.

Are you shooting longer projectiles that requires a faster twist rate than what you currently have? If not, why change twist rates?

Why not just free float your current Sport, unless you can get an upper in the configuration the way you want for less than changing yours... but I will warn you, an extra upper will typically turn into a complete rifle.

As long as you know what you are getting into! Do you have links to the uppers you are looking at? Back in the day, Stag made rifles that were branded for S&W, but that was a long time ago. Troy makes good stuff, but many have political reasons for not buying from them...

With prices what they are today, you may very well be able to buy a complete upper for not much more than buying a free float hand guard for your Sport.

I was looking at this one from Troy...no specific one yet from Stag.
