Default First time at the range

Well,my rifle kicks ***,was in a 25 yd indoor range, first thing I found out was my eyes are not good enough with iron sights even at 25 yes.Saw a video on you tube about sighting in at 10 yes,so that's what I did.Question, does your rifle move around on you guys why setting up on target,or is it just me.Next thing I found out was my back doesn't like being at the range.Started standing up,quickly moved to sitting position with a rest, even then couldn't stay as long as I would have liked.Good news is my rifle S&W Sport II performed flawlessly,YEA.Been having back problems for a long time, hydrocodone and I are good friends. But now that it limits my range time, came home and made an appt. with an ortho Dr.To be continued. Thanks for listening

Good work.

I am still pending to buy my S&W Sport II.

Where you holding your rifle in hand or did you have a stand?

All depends what your budget is, you can get a decent budget adjustable scope in 1-4 or 1-6.

It's really hard to know what you'll like until you get your hands on it and try it out.

Goodoboy, buy the Sport II. Shoot it a bunch, then decide what you want in an AR. I bought my Sport II, and added some goodies, like a very expensive WMD NIB BCG, because it looked cool. Then I had this BCG, which somehow morphed into another rifle. One I decided I wanted with very select parts, I built another AR and it was a very satisfying experience. One I wouldn't have enjoyed if I didn't have the stock Sport II first.

So enjoy the trip, you will learn a bunch.

That is similar to what I did. I bought a sport II and shot it enough to realize I wanted to experiment with longer ranges. So I bought a complete upper with free floated guard, 1/7 barrel, and BCG. For a few weeks I swapped uppers depending on what I was doing. Then I just bought another lower to go with my custom upper and left the Sport II stock. So now I have two different Ar's that serve two different purposes , but either one can fill in for the other if needed. This was a good learning process for me.
