Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot (New Model)
This is the new model PA Micro Dot RDS. It is on special for $69.99. The reason it is priced to sell is that it comes with it's own lightweight riser but you can't swap it out for a T-1 compatible aftermarket riser due to a machining error causing the mounting holes to not line up. It looks like a really nice riser so it may not matter to a lot of people. What I like about it it's 2 ounces lighter and a lot less $ than the Vortex SPARC AR and it has the Primary Arms lifetime warranty.

For those of you thinking about a new trigger, I can highly recommend this one. Had a decent factory trigger in my sport II, but this one is so much better. Plus it comes with a bunch of swag. Price is plus shipping. How long you have to wait depends on how many they sell. Got mine on similar deal last year, and waited just under 4 weeks.

VG6 Muzzle Devices $40 + $7 shipping
I'm only posting products I own and have a favorable opinion of such was the case with the PA RDS from my earlier post. The company's are also people I have dealt with over a long period and have had great experiences with and would recommend.
Next up are various varieties of the VG6 muzzle device line. I use VG6 devices on 80% of my AR's and AK's. If you already have a VG6 muzzle device and were thinking about adding the CAGE, then this is also a good opportunity.

General FYI
I've deleted some posts here. Keep in mind this is the M&P15 section. This isn't the place to post good deals on 380ACP ammo. Keep it related to the M&P15.

I've been wanting to try one and your post reminded me. Thank you.

The "gotta have it now" price is $199"
Six-day wait for $99... I can live with that.

The Wilson is a single stage and the LaRue is a two stage so comparisons are kinda difficult on that basis, but I'll be glad to give it a review. I purchased it with the intention of installing it in the wife's light weight AR then moving her single stage Timney to my .22LR CMMG dedicated. Well... that's the plan unless the wife fusses that she wants her Timney back.

Have another AR in route. Got a decent combo deal on a Sparc AR and the Vortex 3x flip magnifier. Believe it was 328.00 shipped. I had purchased a Sparc AR for my BiL months and really liked it when I was zeroing the weapon for him.

Great they are doing the rebate again, ordered another 1k rounds, thanks Phil.
Only it's a $50 rebate, not $75 per 1k rounds.

Right.
The Federal rebate on 5.56 and .223 has been going on for months and extends to the end of the year. It's always been 5 cents a round. At first they had the maximum rebate per household set at $200 but then raised it to $400.
When I typed $75 it was a brain fart. Woooops. I knew it was $50. Still had the correct final price of $249 though... so it's not like I need to be institutionalized... at least not yet.

Yup, you did have the final amount right. No funny farm for you ................yet.
I chose the M193 loose box of 1k since I like to bag my rounds for the range in 50/bag. This loose packaging eliminates all those emptying of boxes and throwing them out, should save me time unless it takes more time to count than to empty. Oh boy, I might have hosed myself.

What, no dillo dust?
Looking forward to hearing what you think. At $99 + shipping, it's a super deal. All the swag just sweetens the deal.

Haha... no Dillo Dust with this order. I got Dillo Dust when I ordered an Aimpoint/LT660 combo a few years ago. I was surprised they included the LT-TAC. I'd rather have the DD.

I ordered the MBT2S a couple of months ago. No Dillo Dust then either. Apparently the divorce is causing some cut backs!

It did. LaRue is great to do business with.
"I can't wait, gotta have it now" price for the trigger is $199.
"I got plenty of time" price is $125.
Holiday price was $99.
I was surprised that it shipped so quick. Ordered on Thursday, Thanksgiving day. Shipped just six days later Wednesday. I have heard guys waiting several weeks. I was surprised to find the LT-TAC included.

Bought and received the 69.99 sight when it first was available a couple weeks? back. Just won't work with "standard" quick release bases, came with 2 bases,co-witness and lower 1/3 I believe. Could be wrong I haven't put it on anything yet just couldn't pass up the deal.

Nothing better than receiving a "big" box of quality ammunition for a good price! Especially after the tight supplies of the recent past.

Put the LaRue MBT-2S in the wife's AR today.
It's not a drop-in but installation is straight forward as can be. Install trigger, insert trigger pin. Install hammer, insert hammer pin. Reinstall safety and grip. Done.
The trigger is as smooth as any aftermarket 2S trigger. Very nice. First stage seems longer than others so it's got more of what I don't like but I don't have other 2S triggers here for comparison so it's not easy to judge. I don't have a trigger gauge but LaRue's claim of a 4.5 lb pull (2.5 lb first stage, 2 lb second stage) felt about right. Break is crisp. Nice. Long reset... not so nice. The trigger is wider and has a bit less curve than your Wilson. LaRue has a reputation for using quality materials so I would expect it to remain consistent with use.
I'm a single stage guy and heavily biased. For my offhand shooting I would not waste the ammo with the MBT-2S. That said, if a guy was using a typical creepy, gritty, stacking, heavy GI trigger he'd probably think the MBT-2S is heaven in a $99 can, particularly if he sits at a bench. My guess is the wife will want back her 4lb single stage Timney. Anyway... for $99 I got something to play with on the wife's AR. Good enough.

Thanks, Phil. Good overview.
I'm glad I followed your lead and installed the Wilson Combat TTU trigger on my M&P15 TS. (Buy once, cry once and build a better rifle.)

I bet you wouldn't like a Geissele SSA either. Comparing a 4lb single stage trigger to a 4.5 lb 2 stage is not an apples to apples comparison.
I think its more about single stage bias here then an objective review of the trigger.

To go along with the trigger posts, both Primary Arms and Palmetto have deals going on Geiselle triggers on the ads they sent out today.

What spring did you install?
One of the first criticisms of the MBT-2S was the lack of strong positive "pushing" reset that many shooters prefer. The non distinct slow return can be helped by the installation of the heavier spring.
LaRue states it brings the trigger pull weight up to 5.5lb but most people report real world numbers closer to 4.5-5lb while retaining the smoothness and crispness of the trigger. Many people who install these on defensive guns put the heavier spring in to allow the trigger to reset more aggressively.
Many people compare the MBT-2S to the SSA from Geissele but I think the MBT is sort of between the SSA and SSA-E. In the end triggers at this level are all about preferences and training. There is no one size fits all. IMHO
For the money especailly when they are on sale the MBT-2S represents a huge value.

Certainly doesn't sound like there was any attempt to deceive...and it should be noted that he posted the small review as a courtesy to me for having asked him to share his thoughts on the trigger after he received it.
In his original reply he stated that they weren't directly comparable as one was single stage, and the other two stage.
Nothing here to get worked up over.

No one is worked up. He did acknowledge his bias for a single stage trigger but IMHO does not properly illustrate how that bias translated directly to his thoughts on this particular trigger.
I jokingly stated he would most likely not like the SSA either, because the SSA is sort of the gold standard of 2 stage triggers IMHO. I have a SSA installed in a Colt and a MBT-2S in a BCM and they are very similar. The MBT-2S being a little cleaner moving it closer to SSA-E. If the SSA is like snapping a carrot the SSA-E is like a candy cane. The MBT-2S somewhere in the middle. None of these 2 stage triggers are a single stage so the comparison is sort of fails. Also comparing a $99 trigger to a $215 is also not an apples to apples comparison.
Also as I stated before when you get to triggers of this quality. Subjective preferences based on feel, training and shooting style are what determine the right trigger for a particular shooter or particular gun. There is no universal perfect trigger.
