Default Fiber optic sights

Did a search on the forum, did not find an answer, so here goes....does anyone have a fiber optic front sight post? Looking at purchasing the HiViz AR2008. What are your opinions or experiences??

For what it’s worth, I have a FO front on a co2 rifle and my father in law and myself liked it. It was very easy to acquire even in low light. I have a hiviz sight saved for my wife’s g19 just haven’t gotten around to paying for it yet haha.

I have FO front and rear sights on a couple of handguns and a couple of lever guns. I really like them, a lot! The last one I bought was a HiViz front only for my 617. It really helps my decreasing vision find and focus on the front sight. Well worth the purchase price to me.

Williams 'Firesights' (front and rear) on my Ruger Mark II - GREAT at the range!
Hi-Viz front sight on my GP100 (4" barrel) - GREAT at the range!
Hi-Viz fiber optics on my 45 Shield (same as the Performance Center version) - haven't had a chance to take it to the range yet, but I expect to love them. Someday I may change those to night sights, but that's not going to happen unless I can carry legally - not likely in NJ!

I think fiber optic sights are fantastic at the range or for outdoors.
For a home defense weapon, I think night sights are better, but with regular practice/training it doesn't matter - any threat would be close range and I need to see my target more than the sights. I have lights on both my home defense guns.

I want to try the fiber optic tritium sights someday for the best of both worlds.

I think that a FO front sight would be great for a closer-range setup running irons. I would look for ones that offered the best protection to the rods as those can be a bit brittle however. I think that due to sight thickness it would be more difficult to accurately place shots past 200yds or so.

To be honest, I got so accustomed to running optics through the last few conflicts that all of my defensive rifles have some form of scope/red dot with flip-up BUIS.

Keep us posted if you go this route.
