Good deal on M&P 15 Sport?
Received an email from my LGS on a sale this weekend and they are selling M&P 15 Sport's for $459 + tax. I guess since the Obama gun control scare is over prices are coming down on MSR's. Does this seem like a fair price?
They are also selling M&P 15 22's for $299 with a soft case and a red dot sight. Fair?

Politically Correct publicity possible pushing sales down, the Sport II has driven the price of the Sport down also. Case is inexpensive, red dot probably a slow mover. Both prices are good.

Sounds good to me. And here I am thinking maybe I should sell my 15/22 that I rarely shoot for $300. I guess it won't go up for sale.

Yeah, some places are nearly giving AR s away right now. PSA has a complete upper + complete lower for $329.

Chief,
That is a great price on a very good rifle backed by S&W warranty.
I own an early Sport 1 and glad I bought mine even at a much higher cost back in 2011.
Hope you bought yours!

For comparison, I bought a Sport I with the “lesser” 1/9 twist barrel for $600 in the fall of 2013. In spite of all criticism of the barrel change-it was as accurate as the earlier barreled rifles.

That's a great price. The leading online store is selling them for
549 now, a 100 increase over last year.

I might check some online retailers. Sometimes shipping and the transfer fee make that a cheaper solution. But it is good to support local business.
But, yes, it is a good price.

Buy 2 - sell one during next panic and you will have one for half price or keep the 2nd NIB and shoot the H*** out of the other one. Just a thought.
