Does the AR have a FSB?. If so, and the new handguard allows clearance, I'd consider a chop job on the fsb. But to answer your question, sounds like you have it covered. I'd order some new gas tube retention pins. Removing a fsb with tapered pins can be a pain sometimes.

If the gun has a delta ring / barrel nut assembly, that too will require removal.

If the gun has a delta ring / barrel nut assembly, that too will require removal what do you mean will I need more parts for this it does have a delta ring I think that's the big rubber ring at the base of the barrel right?

This is not what you asked, but considering your questions, I suggest that you just shoot your rifle and enjoy it as is for now. After you have put a couple thousand rounds down range and have cleaned the rifle, you will understand how it operates and what you like and what you may want to change.

Another option would be to consider this handguard. No need to change your FSB or remove the delta ring.

This is a Delta Ring:

You will need a barrel nut tool to remove it. This is a decent one:

Yes, you will need the torque wrench too.

If you have to remove the Delta Ring, you'll have to remove the barrel nut. If you remove the barrel nut, you'll have to torque it properly when you re-install it. The beam type torque wrench is the most reliable for a reasonable price and doesn't need any special handling.

I almost forgot, to loosen/tighten the barrel nut, you'll need to hold the upper receiver. To hold the upper receiver without crushing it, you'll need the upper vise block clamp. So, you might as well get the whole kit:

Or, you can just drop by and we can do it together. I have all the tools already.
