Default Problem with SW Sport

I have a Sport original version. I bought it new several years ago. It has been problem free , can't remember a single hick up .

Yesterday at the range after approximately 30 rounds slow fire (that's all I ever do) I had a stoppage . The round chambered but would not fire. No movement of trigger like the safety was on but wasn't. A couple of round s before this I thought the trigger reset felt odd.

The range was exceptionally busy with shooters and spectators. So I did not continue and did not try to diagnose this. Figured I would do this at home.

Trouble is now I can't get it to repeat. I think once I noticed the trigger reset was sluggish. Any thoughts on cause? The rifle was thoroughly cleaned before and after this trip.

I would rather not send it in for warranty if I don't have to. Or would a drop in trigger solve my issue along with being an upgrade?

Even if this doesn't reoccur it will always be in the back of my mind.

i think I might have answered my own question. I decided to give the trigger area a closer inspection and cleaning. I took it out to he garage and hit it with some compressed air. A small piece of something flew out. Where it went or what it was I don't know.

I inspected everything I can see and don't see any damaged parts. I worked the trigger probably 500 times and can't get even get the sluggish reset.

Is it possible just dirt or debris just got in the trigger group and was stopping the reset?

Will have to do some live fire to confirm.
