Default I am trying to remove the front sling swivel.

I am trying to remove the front sling swivel.

I have an M&P Sport II. I looked it up on youtube. All of the instructions seem to indicate that one should drill/hammer out
the peen.

That does not appear to be the case for mine. One can see that the front site is held on with a tube. I can see light where the peened head should be.

I am trying to not damage anything in case I want to change my setup.

Do you have any suggestions?

The sling swivel is held on with a roll pin. You would be best served by getting a roll pin punch so you don't damage the pin.

It might be pinned. If pinned, does the right side have an indentation? If so, place punch there and knock pin out. Pics?

Did you just use a hammer and punch and knock it out? I noticed the M&P 15 Sport II has a different pin holding the swivel in place than the ARs in the YouTube videos explaining how to remove.

Most have a rivet, the M&P (at least mine did) uses a roll pin...you can just tap it out with a punch/hammer. Mine came out with minimal effort.
