Default Sport II just fine

I have had my original sport for over 5 years now. As expected it has been flawless. I have also owned a Sport II for a little over 4 years now but had never shot it until this morning. I was definitely pleased. I’ll see if I can attach a photo of the target. 50 yards from a sandbag thru open sights. And my aging eyes made seeing the target a challenge😉. This was just ten rounds. The first shot is the one closest to center. After seeing that I squeezed off another 9 rounds as quickly as I could center the sights.

Why did you wait so long to shoot it? I really like my Sport II. The build snobs can go pee up a rope.

The reason that I waited so long was that I simply wasn’t worried about using it. I’m really not all that much into AR’s, I primarily have them because I couldn’t fathom the idea of someone telling me that I couldn’t have one. But, now with all of the unrest, my wife encouraged me to make sure that it was in working order in case potential upcoming events get nasty and out of control.

I never was into them either. I didn't care for the AR platform and disdained the .223 round. I've been thinking about getting one for the last three elections but never did. I finally got one at 63 mainly because the left didn't want me to have one but now that I have it it's a fun gun to play with. I wish I'd gotten one years ago when they were cheap.

Me too, I never owned a black rifle, I got mine before the 2016 elections, for fear that Hillary would get elected and ban them. It turned out to be a lot of fun, I wish I got one sooner.

I got one back in 2016 right before the last election and it is a tack driver. Was never into AR rifles and now so glad I got one about 4 years ago. I also purchased a CMMG AR10 in 308 and it is a tack driver also. Do not get to shoot them much but as the weather gets cooler I will be taking one or both of the out to run some rounds through them.
