Default Leupold Mark AR scope on M&P Sport....

I bought a Leupold Mark AR scope to put on my Smith & Wesson M&P Sport. Adjustable 4 X 1.5 power, Mildot reticle and Firedot Illuminated reticle. Has a bullet drop compensator regulated for 55 grain bullets, my ammo of choice. I think this particular Mark AR scope (Firedot reticle) is discontinued, but it is other wise identical to Mark AR scopes you can find today. It was "In Stock" at my local dealer. I had to find the Leupold Mark AR base and rings on my own, found a used set on Ebay.

Installing it myself couldn't have been easier, I swear if you can put Legos together you can mount a Leupold Mark AR base on an M & P Sport rifle. Took me all of two rounds to get it zeroed at 25 meters, using a G.I. M-16 A1 sighting target. Eight rounds at 100 yards and I declared it zeroed.

A link to the M-16 A1 sighting target:

Moved to 200 yards, shooting at my 12" X 24" steel target that I spray painted a 4" circle on as an aiming point. Moved the elevation turret to the 200 yard setting, and started obliterating that 4" circle. Shots were fired from the prone position, no sling, I think this was 12 rounds:

This is the second Leupold scope I've owned, I'm never going back to any other brand. Super clear optics, precise clicks on elevation and windage, this scope just say's "Quality" loud and clear! Just like that, this "Entry Level" AR has become the most accurate of any rifle I own....

Nice work. I've had several Leupold scopes including a Mark AR and higher end. Good scopes and that's a great choice for an AR and that reticle is G2G for close in work.
