Welcome to the family! Couldn’t have picked a better time to get one...enjoy! I picked one up months ago and still haven’t been able to take it to the range!

First shot is like a flu shot. Arm a bit sore the next day. Second shot, prepare for 24 to 36 hours of feeling like you have Covid.
Good rifle, the best of the entry level ARs. Get plenty of magazines. Okay, Pmag, D&H, Lancer.
Use a good oil like Breakfree generously. AR will run thousands of rounds without cleaning, if you keep it oiled.

Good deal. Where did you purchase each listed item? Prices of each? Had both vaccines. Light discomfort in shot area approx 12 hours after each. Both lasted approx 24-36 hours. Otherwise I would have never known I got vaccinated.

You won’t feel like shooting. After the first shot, felt like the flu. Second **** was worse.
Congrats on the gun.

Did first field strip clean and lube after reading the manual and Gunblue490 video . The finish is a lot different than my handguns silicone cloth didn't do anything .

Fired AR first time today, rifle kicked a little more more than I thought and sound of the the buffer. I wasted ammo today couldn't see where I was hitting but did get familiar with the rifle. I did have a good group lower right edge of target. Ordered a spotter scope from Amazon and splatter targets from Wallymart. Was shooting Am.Eagle 223 55gr @ 25 yards next trip will have Armscor , PMC and Frontier .556

Well, contrary to what some have experienced, my first shot was a sore arm. The second shot was a short nap after dinner the next day. From everyone I know, it's very hard to predict. (Mine was the Pfizer)

Consider replacing the buffer with an H2 buffer. I did that on my M&P15 and it made a noticeable difference.
Also, you’re not wasting ammo when you’re getting used to a firearm.
