Default Gas Block Question ????

What Gas Block did you put on your S&W Sport II, When you took off your front site. Going to still use the S&W hand guards. I want to keep the Sport II as original as possible.Thank You. OldYooper

Why would you change the gas block and not change the hand guards? If you are going through the hassle to change the gas block, you might as well go ahead and put a better, free float hand guard on it.

What are you trying to accomplish with this change?

I agree, removing the fsb kills any "originality". Unless you happen to like those HGs, change them out.

From your other post, I see that you bought a 3x9 scope, so I am going to assume that you are afraid the front sight will be in the way of the scope. You may see it at 3x magnification, but it will not be visible at 4x and higher.

I still recommend that if you are going to change the gas block, go with a low profile type and change the handguards to free floating ones. Might as well make it a real upgrade.
