Default S&W M&P Sport II - CA DOJ

I couldn't find any other threads so I created one. I hope that's proper etiquette. I'm wondering if anyone can clarify what the new ruling involves, bullet buttons, etc. How an owner can confirm they have a CA compliant. I purchased mine in 18, have the fin, etc, and other than a red dot, and new handquards, I have the "small capacity" magazines and don't require a tool, or bullet button to remove them. Hoping someone can clarify all of the insanity, and maybe from a legal perspective if there are any attorneys.
Thank you to all who are able to contribute.

Currently as of 10-10-2021
Bullet buttons are banned.
You have two choices to stay within the CA-DOJ ruling.
Featureless and Locked Magazine.

Featureless means a Fin grip, No flash hider, No collapsing stock. All the "Evil Features" deleted but you get to have normal magazine function.

Locked Magazine you get to keep your "Evil Features" but have an overly complex step to drop the magazine.
Juggernaught and Cross kits both crack open the lower and upper to unlock the interlock letting you push the magazine release and dropping the mag.

There are other options like ejection port loaders and permanently fixed Magazines. Even a bottom loading fixed magazine as several different approaches have been thought up to workaround the banning of "Normal" Ar15s

I have them setup both ways. The Fin is a awkward thing and while with enough use you do adapt it remains a pain.

I'll say I reach for the "Juggernaut Tactical Hellfighter Kit" equipped one more as it has the normal pistol grip and the extra step to crack the receiver is fast enough. It's a modified rear pin that allows the upper and lower to open a fingernails width with a simple push button.

If you look at the web site of only real chain gun store California has you'll find the Hellfighter kit equipped Sport II with pistol grip, Flash suppressor, and adjustable stock. as well as the featureless guns like you have.

The Kit is about $50.00 and replaces the standard Bolt Hold open and the rear pin of the receiver. You can change your Featureless to Locked Magazine and swap the Fin for a normal Pistol grip. Took me 15 minutes to install both parts.

10 round magazine is the standard but we did have 2 days of being able to buy 30 rounder's before the lid closed on that but it opened the door and you won't get hassled for having a 20-30 rounder's.

Thanks for your reply. Mine was purchased post all of this in the end of 2018, so I have the fin, locked stock, no flash suppresor, regular 10 round magazine, etc. so I don't have all of the evil features. I have purchased a rifle grip but never installed it. I was just curious if the current "assault weapon" attacks would apply. My guess is yes, and it will only get worse. Thanks again
