NEED HELP! Looking for 15" handguard for mp15 sport II with no A2 FSP
I'm in desperate need of help at this point, lol. I have a M&P 15 Sport II with no A2 front site post, it's just the picatinny gas block. I want to get a 15" or just extended drop in handguard, preferably m-lock with picatinny all on top, but I can't find any that works without the A2 style FSP. Anybody know of any out there?

Just swap out your current GB for a LoPro GB. Easy peasy and you'll have a boat load of fore ends/hand guards to choose from.

Sounds like you want a free float handguard, not a drop in. Most drop ins do not extend past the gas block, as they are held in place by the cap behind the gas block / front sight base. There are a few with a cutout for the FSB that are two pieces that bolt together, but I don't know if your setup will work with those since they are made for the A2 FSB.

No, I was hoping to not have to convert everything to be free float. I currently have a drop in quad rail from monstrum, and it does attach to the delta ring and the cap behind the gas block. I want the same concept, except "15 that'll still attach to the cap on the gas block and past the gas block. But, alot of drop in hand guards I see that go past the gas block seem to require an A2 FSP? If I go with a low profile gas block, I'll have to convert to free float and I'm trying to avoid that.

I have the same "Optics Ready" variant you do. Do yourself a favor and get rid of that picatinny gas block.
If you don't feel confident doing it, a shop will do it for a few bucks. If you buy the bits from them, they might even do it free.
Seriously. Once you have a low profile block on there, like somebody else said, there's a hundred handguards available to you and you can get a decent UTG pro (as I duck) for 100 bucks on sale. Mine mounted up nice n snug n straight. Not a thing n the world wrong with it. This model is even made in the USA.
