Default M&P 15T II

Anyone have one yet or seen any reviews? I love my original 15T and am interested in the 2nd gen version but I can't find any info on it other that S&W's website....

I took off the original plastic foregrip and replaced with a M-Lok with flat rail top after purchasing my Sport II four days ago. Put an EOTech XPS-2 sight on it and while shooting small targets on the range at 50, then 100 yds my son told me I was shooting the heck out of the bullseye. So I gave my son my Sig Sauer Patrol 516 which is a great rifle in its own right, but was a little heavy for me in my old age. The Sport II is very light. I highly recommend it. Now if some one could give me a link for the manufacturing date. I would be very happy.

Correct. It is like this rifle exists only on S&W's website.

I saw one at Brownells last week. Seemed like a very nice carbine, somewhere between my 15T and my Geissele Super Duty. Some of the upgrades on the 15T ll I’ve made on my S&W (ambi safety & charging handle). I do like the longer handguard on the T 2 though.

So I finally saw a decent review of this rifle. I think, based on this review, that I no longer "need" this rifle. My current 15T is about the same thing.
