Is this M&P-15 Genuine?
Hi there,
I got these pictures from a friend for a bran new M&P-15.
The markings seemed weird to me and made me doubt if it is genuine.
Sharing the pictures as they came.
Any ideas?

I have a couple newer models that aren't color filled like this one. Also seems to have a QR code on in like the new Colts. Nice quad rail installed as well. I would get the model number on the box and do a little research it could be a limited run. I like it

I doubt anyone would try to counterfeit an M&P AR. A Noveske or other expensive one, possibly.

It looks like an older model tactical version not a sport model. Like Dan Zulu said no one would counterfeit an M&P15, but I think you do have an older higher end model.

Something ain't right. The lower receiver appears to have an "Auto" position. If so, this is a LE only weapon. Not legal for individuals to possess since it was made after the 1986 cutoff.

You can also see the auto sear pin hole. Definitely looks like it is a select fire model

Thanks guys,
It is actually a Full Auto version. My friend lives overseas, and also, according to him, someone shared those photos with him of one for sale!.
that is why I cannot get clear photos.
I couldn't see any similar model on the net with my search
