Trigger adjuster screw
Will this adjuster screw AR15 Trigger Adjusters - Home work on a Sport 2? Is the hole for the hand grip screw drilled all the way thru the lower? I'd like to reduce the trigger take-uo.

Can't tell if the hole goes all the way through. Will the widget do everything it claims? NO! At least not without compromising safety. Also, the design of the trigger group pretty much requires some pre-travel to make sure the hammer engages the sear.
If you want to improve the stock trigger I'd suggest you look at the ALG trigger/hammer sets from Geisselle (ALG Defense). However, virtually all semi-auto trigger systems will have some amount of pre-travel to insure safe sear engagement.

Took the hand grip off to check and the hole goes all the way thru so the trigger adjustment screw should work to reduce the take-up.

I installed a BCM PNT trigger with JP Enterprise 3.5 lb. springs in all (4) of my AR's.

1. Travel, pre-travel, take-up, etc has nothing to do with sear engagement.
2. Though I'm no advocate of the device and those similar to it, the mechanics and physics of it are true. They work but .......

Point one rather depends upon the design of trigger/sear/hammer/striker/disconnector mechanics. Also upon tolerances and part fit and how hard one cranks on the "adjustment". However, the point the OP misses is that the part of the trigger motion he objects to only exists on the first shot-if one is pinning the trigger back and only releasing until the trigger re-connects, catches the link or whatever term you prefer.
Also, and perhaps more importantly, pre-travel allows you to acquire the trigger in less than optimal conditions with less risk of causing an ND.
