I want to put a sling on my MP15OR. Apparently S&W doesn't see fit to put a front swivel on the OR. The gas block has a tapped hole and a larger hole with a groove that looks like it may be for some type of quick disconnect. Anyone know what swivel will fit the large grooved hole or do I need to use the smaller tapped one. The larger one seems it would be much stronger.
Thanks

Troy Industries makes the SSQD swivel that fits. $15.00

www.troyind.com

I saw at least one other one advertised somewhere, but I don't recall where.

I put a gas piston system in one of mine and the replaced gas block didn't have a swivel. So, I had a 4" bolt on accessory rail on the bottem hand guard. I found a swivel at a local gun store that mounts to that tac rail. It put the front swivel about an inch from the end of the hand guard. hasn't pulled the guard off so it works for me.
